Pearl Jam - Last Kiss

Na minha sequência de músicas neurantes e que demoram semanas, meses e até (como no caso de "Polaroid") anos pra sair da minha cabeça, encontro-me agora com Last Kiss, do Pearl Jam que é, de longe, a versão mais conhecida da música originalmente composta por Wayne Cochran, com uma letra que é tão bela quanto séria.

Wayne Cochran inspirou-se no acidente ocorrido no dia 22 de Dezembro de 1962, sábado, véspera de Natal, em Barnesville - Georgia. Os jovens: Jeanette Clark e L. Hancok, que era o motorista, ambos com 16 anos e mais outros três amigos, estavam em um Chevrolet 1954 em intenso tráfego quando atingiram um caminhão que carregava madeiras. Clark, Hancok e mais um amigo morreram; os outros dois ficaram seriamente feridos. Cochran dedicou a música à Jeanette Clark.
